Congratulations, you have been removed from the waitlist and called for active duty with the NADF. NADF is the singular ground defense force for New Aeterna, a temporary territory of The United States of America. NADF defends New Aeterna’s shores from threats both from the outside and within while upholding the values of freedom, liberty and justice in allegiance with our ally the United Sates of America.
The NADF and U.S Army constitute one force. Recruits will be considered members of both the U.S Army and NADF while New Aeterna is pending Nationship.
You are scheduled to report to basic training in Fort Jackson, SC. On January 15th 2025

How’s PT ? Do you like South Carolina? I bet you fit right in with those sweet southern belles.
I know you hate D.C, but I miss you. I wish I had you to come back to every night instead of an empty hotel suite. I thought I’d write to you since you haven’t had time to call. I thought I’d write to you instead of e-mailing, more intimate . . . right?
Things are going good here, I’m still learning new things every day. Politics can be both terrifying and illuminating. I think if I keep up the momentum I can do great things for New Aeterna. My decades of wisdom is finally coming in handy.
There have been a lot of pro-Nationalist Parties on college campuses, there is so much support and enthusiasm. New Aeterna will be it’s own country, I can feel it. It’s an exciting time. . . I wish Hmjeu was here to see it. I wish so many of my Brothers were here to see this.
Last week during visitation day at the hospital I went with Isobel to see Arrow. We went to Brighton Beach. I now realize that beach could
be the same beach I’d looked at as a child from my Father’s Citadel. Maybe ? I
know I can make New Aeterna a great nation if the U.S allows me. It feels like my destiny.
I’ve been on bed rest since my last operation . . . my seizures stopped. It’s a miracle, Sera. A fucking scientific miracle.
. . . But I get unpredictable gushing nose bleeds. Not very
attractive. I still get fucking migraines whenever blood goes anywhere
other than my brain, it needs all the blood it can get. Other parts of my body are not amused.
I think we need a place of our own, get out of this hotel. Some of the others are thinking of moving on.
The resistance is really over. . .
Maybe we can get an apartment ? In New Aeterna or D.C ? What do you think ?
Have you heard anything about this Bart Giuliani ? He’s a
retired Army General, he does a lot for veterans and runs a fews PACs. Anyway,
he is now the official leader of the Unification party. He’s becoming a pain in my ass. I understand why some Americans want NYC back . . . but it's just not the same city anymore.

Nationalist Party and I are back in
New Aeterna. Prospect Park is all but gone and The New Aeterna City Center is
in its place. It’s beautiful a place for temporary government in action. I
guess if we lose the proposition it can be made into a tourist site ? Either
way I can’t wait for you to see it.
They have even quarantined a section of the park and called it Queen Anne’s. It’s a residential area only for Supernaturals (God, I hate that term) We’ve had to be . . . inventive with building material.
There is also space for some small standalone homes. . . I bought one (Well, the architects gave it to me) for us. I thought you might like a house to come home to.

I don’t need to explain myself to you. You and I respect each other too much for that. I have no doubt you will make New Aeterna into a great nation. I simply don’t know how you can socialize with those U.S politicians whose policies put me in that shit-hole in Guantanamo. They took five years away from me me—away from us. Who knows how many other Angels they captured and tortured during Helios’ regime ? How many they might still have ?”
I hate serving with these U.S military officer bastards but I do it for New Aeterna. So one day I can be a citizen and solider for New Aeterna. A place where I won’t have to hide what I am. Where I can protect my sisters. I also put up with it because it suits Leon and the others so well. This is where I want to be, making my own future.
Not suffocating in makeup and hair extensions, shaking hands, playing your pretty prop and talking politics I don’t understand. We both want New Aeterna to be a country, but I can’t do it the way you want. I’m not a trophy wife. I can't and don't want to keep up. I need to be free. I cannot be in another prison and I don’t want you to be my warden.

I know this isn’t what you signed up for but I can’t do this without you. We’ve come so far together. I know the attention is appalling but the people of New Aeterna adore you or at least are interested in you. Together we know their pain, we’ve experienced it. The women in this country have suffered as you have. Countless forced into prisons, menial jobs, marriages and motherhood. They see you unflinching, unafraid and cold… I think it gives them hope.
What should come of us if we were not to take up the mantle given to us ? We would be seen as criminals, love. We can’t claim honor in everything we did as the resistance.
I may have started
the Prince’s Resistance (ahem, revolution Nationalist Party) but
it was nothing without you. You bought liberation to New Aeterna. You deserve
to be their, if not my, queen. I can do
what I need to make New Aeterna a nation, but it will be nothing without you. I
will be nothing without you.
When I was locked up in Helios’ Dungeons (BTW, this is a new Heavy Metal group. I say too soon) the only thing that kept me living was the maddening delusion that you were there with me .Your memory kept me alive in my darkest hours.
I’m not holding you to me. I will be heartbroken . . .but it’s certainly nothing I can’t overcome.

Look, Sera things are getting serious. I’ve got word that 1/3 of Congress is willing to vote to make New Aeterna into an independent Nation. I don’t have them sold on the monarchy thing yet. . . but considering the small size of New Aeterna and its negative image, a charming diplomatic figure head is just what they need.
They are going to want to fiercely interrogate the entire
Prince’s resistance Nationalist Party to make sure we aren’t like
Helios. I need to show stability and commitment during this grueling process.
Once Proposition1776
is drafted it has to get voted on by the people before it can move on to
Congress. Once it moves to Congress we need to testify before a closed
congressional committee the benefits of New Aeterna as a nation and me as the King. We need to be unified for now.
After that we can get divorced.

I know you are having a hard time. I know this change is hard on you. We couldn’t stay hidden away forever. Resistance life was only supposed to be temporary. This was what we wanted. Captain Argos encouraged me to write this letter since you and I will be reunited soon. . . so here it goes.
My 10 months and 3 days away from all the media, politics and spoils of war has been … comforting.I like it here. As much as anyone can like Iraq. I suppose I enjoy the ever present danger of a foreign land. That’s how my life has been. Dangerous. Unsafe. Unpredictable.
I can’t explain it but when I wake up in the morning I feel like I’m in another world. There is something calming about the desert and heat. It’s a lovely constant. Every morning Leon meets me and we go running along the perimeters, sometimes the officers will join him and the ladies will join me and we have a bit of a competition.
The women here are so young and idealistic. They work hard and their past have all been scarred by the Helion regime in ways men don’t understand. For all of the people we helped escape Helios' regime, we barely made a dent.
I like that no one
sees me as the possible future queen. I
can be who I’ve always been and become the career solider I’ve always wanted to
be. I have a need to protect. Just like my Father protected my village all that
time ago.
My childhood comes back to me every now and then. I remember my mother, father and my village. I remember dark green grass and a pale blue sky. I remember my Father holding me in his arms and spinning me around. It seems so foreign that a monster like me was someone’s little girl.
Leon was older and he remembers so much more than I do. Sometimes we sit by the fire and he tells me stories. He still speaks our language too, it sounds so foreign and beautiful.
I won’t be delicate. There are hardships here. Spending five years helping people escape an oppressive regime certainly (as Leon likes to say) give you a special set of skills. When I see the quandaries of the Iraqi people I realize why peace is so important.
How is it in all our lives we’ve never seen true peace ? Can it even be done ?
I believe New Aeterna can be an example for the rest of the
world. A beacon of peace and hope. I
believe you can turn a name associated with fear and into one filled with
peace. I believe in you, Paris. I believe you can make a paradise for the next
generation of our kind. Because of that I will remain your by your side and do what I must to give you New Aeterna.
Our NADF rotation ends in 12 days. Then I’m yours.
I serve at the immense and sweet pleasure of my future King.
